Overview

The BF-9300/9500 is a professional digital trunking system delivered as a network, not a single device. Three parts form the core — rack-mounted digital channel units for coverage, a base station controller running multi-carrier channel sharing, and a dispatch management platform for control-room operations — and deployment runs from a single-site network to multi-zone multi-site with digital IP interconnection.

01

Positioning

  • System type: professional digital trunking system, sold as a complete network.
  • Core parts: digital channel units, base station controller and dispatch platform.
  • Coverage layer: fixed channel units provide regional coverage and cross-zone communication.
  • Control layer: the controller runs multi-carrier channel sharing and network management.
  • Dispatch layer: a B/S platform turns radio traffic into control-room operations.
  • Use case: directed dispatch across one site or many.
02

Capacity and channels

  • Carrier model: multi-carrier channel sharing under the base station controller.
  • Channel output: 50 W per documented channel unit.
  • Network growth: add channel units, talk groups and sites to the same network.
  • Controller expansion: capacity expansion is a documented controller function.
  • Call management: voice call management is part of the controller's duties.
  • Sizing: sites, carriers per site, dispatch positions and talk groups come from the design.
03

System architecture

  • Channel units: 19-inch 2U rack-mounted units for fixed installation in an ordinary equipment cabinet.
  • Unit features: 50 W output, fault alarms, built-in power module and emergency float charging.
  • Power resilience: float charging suits sites where mains power is not dependable.
  • Cooling and location: active cooling and GPS/BDS positioning that supports dispatch location functions.
  • Controller: central industrial-grade computer running the multi-carrier channel-sharing application.
  • Controller duties: capacity expansion, bearer protocol, network transmission, equipment monitoring, voice calls and data/information management.
04

Networking

  • Platform architecture: B/S and full-IP; dispatch positions work over the network.
  • Tiered permissions: control room, mobile command post and office get different access levels, not one shared console.
  • Dispatch functions: voice dispatch, GIS dispatch and real-time dynamic management.
  • Information management: personnel and terminal information management.
  • Management functions: patrol management, satellite positioning, historical data query and remote control.
  • Deployment options: single-site, small-scale, large-scale, single-zone multi-site and multi-zone multi-site, with digital IP linking separated sites.
05

Installation

  • Site survey: where the sites go, buildable height, cabinet or room, power and transmission.
  • Customer scope: antenna, mast or tower, feeder run, cabinet or equipment room.
  • Power and links: mains power with required backup plus transmission between sites and to dispatch.
  • Approvals: civil works, frequency licence and trunking system approval are handled in the destination market.
  • Documentation: we supply the technical documentation for the licence application.
  • On-site work: local teams install and cable; our engineers configure, commission and verify coverage.
06

Ordering

  • Quotation basis: per project, following the approved design.
  • Scope drivers: sites and zones, carriers per site, dispatch positions, talk groups and services in scope.
  • Coverage and links: coverage area, digital IP interconnection and band version.
  • Commercial terms: price, MOQ, lead time and payment terms are agreed per project.
  • No fixed figures: prices and lead times are not published on this page.

Frequently asked questions

Click a question to see the answer

What exactly is delivered in a BF-9300/9500 project?

The system is assembled from three documented parts: digital channel units at the radio sites, a base station controller in the centre, and the dispatch management platform. How many of each, which site types and which services are included depends on the project design, and the quotation lists the scope item by item.

How many sites and carriers will we need?

The site count, carriers per site, dispatch positions and talk groups come out of the coverage and traffic design. The system supports single-site trunking, small-scale and large-scale trunking, single-zone multi-site and multi-zone multi-site layouts, with digital IP interconnection for separated sites. The figures are fixed in the project design rather than quoted on this page.

What do we have to prepare on site, and who handles the frequency licence?

The customer or local partner provides the physical half of the project: antenna and mast or tower, feeder, equipment room or cabinet, mains power with the backup the operation requires, and the transmission links between sites and to the dispatch centre. Civil works, frequency licensing and trunking system approval are handled by the user or the local partner in the destination market, and we supply the technical documentation needed for the application.

Can the network be expanded later?

Yes. The base station controller is documented for capacity expansion and runs the multi-carrier channel-sharing application, so additional channel units, talk groups and sites can be added to the same network, and separated sites can be linked through digital IP interconnection.

How do dispatch positions access the platform?

The dispatch management platform uses a B/S architecture with full-IP technology, so dispatch positions work over the network instead of running the whole application locally. Server arrangement, network access and access levels are agreed during project design, and tiered permission management is part of the documented function set.

How is the system priced?

Per project. Sites, carriers, dispatch positions, coverage, interconnection requirements, band version and the division of work on site all change the scope, so price, minimum order quantity and lead time are confirmed in the quotation rather than published as fixed figures.
