Overview
The NB560 is the ultra-thin member of the public network handheld family, measuring 89.7 × 54 × 30.6 mm while still holding a 2500 mAh battery. It is a 4G PoC terminal for users who would resent carrying a radio — coverage comes from the carrier, so there is no repeater infrastructure to own.
Positioning
- Ultra-thin carry: the body fits a shirt or uniform pocket.
- Per-person issue: a compact design rather than a ruggedised system device, priced and positioned for every team member.
- Carrier coverage: coverage is answered by the carrier, not by repeater infrastructure.
- No private build: no repeater and no antenna system to install.
- Typical users: property management and security patrols, hotels and estates, logistics crews, retail groups, municipal field staff and industrial parks.
Network and SIM
- 4G networks: FDD-LTE, TDD-LTE and TD-SCDMA support.
- Dual SIM switch: move between two SIM cards without changing hardware.
- Continuity: a second SIM keeps a user reachable when the first network is weak.
- Dependency: cellular signal, a SIM with a data plan and a platform subscription.
- Licence: normally no separate radio licence for the user; confirm local SIM and network rules with your importer.
- No infrastructure: no repeater or antenna system is required.
Core functions
- Platform recording: call audio is stored on the platform server for later retrieval.
- Base station positioning: approximate position from the cellular network, useful indoors and in dense urban streets.
- Weather forecast: field crews check conditions without a separate phone.
- Display: HD colour screen for group and status information.
- Charging: dual Type-C ports allow charging from either of two positions, in a desk dock or a vehicle.
- Calling: single call, group call and all call.
Dispatching
- Recording review: supervisors retrieve conversations instead of relying on memory.
- Position awareness: approximate location is reported from the cellular network.
- Group calls: single call, group call and all call cover daily dispatch.
- Platform services: recording, positioning and weather run with the platform subscription.
Durability
- Battery: 2500 mAh with a 3.7 V DC working voltage.
- Temperature: operating range of -20 °C to +55 °C.
- Dimensions: 89.7 × 54 × 30.6 mm, ultra-thin and compact.
- Design trade-off: everyday carry rather than a ruggedised system device.
Ordering and OEM
- SIM plan: a 4G SIM card and data plan per terminal.
- Platform: a subscription and dispatch account on your mainstream PoC platform; tell us the destination country and quantity.
- Recording: enable platform recording if retrievable call audio is required.
- Infrastructure: no repeater and no antenna system are needed.
- Licence: normally no separate radio licence; confirm the local position with your importer.
- OEM: branding, packaging and quantity are confirmed before the order is booked.

Frequently asked questions
Click a question to see the answer
Why choose an ultra-thin PoC radio instead of a conventional radio?
Because coverage is delivered by the carrier, there is no repeater, no antenna system and no licence application for the radio itself — the thin body is the visible part of a much simpler operating model. The compromise is that a public network terminal depends on cellular coverage and on the platform it is provisioned on.
What is platform recording and where does the audio go?
Call audio is stored on the platform side rather than only on the terminal, so a supervisor or dispatcher can retrieve a conversation after the fact. It is enabled as part of your platform subscription; ask us and we will confirm that your platform account includes it.
Do we need SIM cards, a data plan and a platform account?
Yes, all three. Each terminal needs a 4G SIM card and a data plan, and the fleet needs a subscription with dispatch accounts on the mainstream PoC platform your operation runs. The dual SIM card switch means a second SIM can keep a user reachable when the first network is weak.
Can it talk to our existing DMR handsets?
The NB560 works over 4G public networks and does not have a conventional digital or analog radio module, so it cannot talk directly to DMR handsets on licensed channels. If your operation needs both on one device, choose a converged model from the same catalogue; tell us your fleet setup and we will confirm the option.
What does base station positioning give us that satellite positioning does not?
It works where satellite reception is poor — indoors, in dense urban streets and inside vehicles — by reporting position derived from the cellular network. It is an approximate position, which is normally enough to know which site, floor area or district a user is in.
Can we order it under our own brand?
OEM and ODM support is available. Send the logo files, packaging requirements and target quantity, and our team will confirm what can be customised on this model.
