Overview

The BF-SCP950 is a multi-network converged handheld that combines narrowband digital, analog and 4G public-network PTT in one body, so a team can switch between public and private networks without changing device. It is built for operations that mix routine duty with emergency response and would rather not choose between a carrier-based PoC fleet and a conventional radio system.

01

Positioning

  • Two models in one: conventional DMR relies on your licence, repeaters and sites; PoC coverage comes from the carrier.
  • Network by task: routine duty uses the widest, cheapest network; when cellular is congested, unavailable or untrusted, the conventional side keeps talking.
  • One device: broadband and narrowband, public and private, peacetime and emergency duty all run on the same terminal.
  • Typical users: public safety, urban management, airports and rail operations, property management, logistics fleets and large industrial parks.
02

Network and SIM

  • 4G public network: PoC coverage lets a fleet across a city or province talk as if on one site.
  • Dual SIM dual standby: one SIM works as the primary link, the second as standby or a second operator.
  • Narrowband side: digital and analog intercom for private-network operation, with no second radio to carry.
  • Public/private switching: change mode without changing hardware.
  • No repeater chain: the public side needs no repeater installation or maintenance.
  • Dependency to plan for: cellular signal, a SIM with a data plan and a platform subscription are all required.
03

Core functions

  • Noise cancellation: dual-MIC processing suppresses the environment on the transmit path.
  • Cameras: front and rear HD cameras support visual communication and evidence capture.
  • Short-range interfaces: Bluetooth, NFC, RFID and laser scanning connect headsets, tags and access cards.
  • Positioning: GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS and Galileo keep every user visible.
  • Data capture: images and scanned tags reach the dispatcher together with the user position.
  • Emergency: a one-key alarm raises an alert without navigating a menu.
04

Dispatching

  • Platform dispatch: visualized dispatch management covers the whole fleet.
  • Group structure: the platform organizes talk groups and user accounts.
  • One operational picture: voice, images, scanned tags and positions all reach the dispatcher.
  • Escalation: the one-key alarm alerts dispatch directly.
  • Provisioning: the terminal is opened on your chosen mainstream PoC platform.
05

Durability

  • IP68 protection: rain, dust and wash-down do not interrupt work.
  • Field conditions: the rating and noise cancellation suit vehicles, gates and busy sites.
  • One body to manage: a single unit to charge, carry and learn instead of two radios.
06

Ordering and OEM

  • SIM and data: a 4G SIM card and data plan per terminal; two per user if dual-SIM redundancy is to be real.
  • Platform: a subscription and dispatch account on your mainstream PoC platform; tell us which one you use.
  • Narrowband licence: a local radio licence with coordinated frequencies if the digital or analog side will be used.
  • Repeaters: infrastructure is needed where the working area is larger than a single site.
  • Configuration check: we confirm the networks in daily use, the platform, the destination country and the licence position before quoting.
  • OEM: branding, packaging and quantity are confirmed in the same step.

Frequently asked questions

How is a PoC radio different from a conventional DMR radio?

A conventional DMR system is your own infrastructure: you hold the licence, you install or rent repeaters, and coverage stops at the edge of that infrastructure. A PoC radio uses the cellular network instead, so a fleet spread over a city or a province talks without a repeater chain of its own. In exchange, PoC depends on cellular coverage, a SIM with a data plan and a platform subscription. This terminal supports both models and can switch between them.

Can it work with the DMR radios we already own?

The narrowband side of the terminal works in digital and analog modes, so it can be commissioned onto conventional channels your fleet already uses, provided the band version matches your licence. The public network side is a PoC device and needs the platform you operate. Send us your channel plan and platform name and we will confirm the configuration.

What do we have to arrange locally?

For the public network side: a 4G SIM card and data plan for each terminal, plus a subscription and dispatch account with your PoC platform. For the narrowband side: a local radio licence with coordinated frequencies, and repeater infrastructure if the working area covers more than one site.

Does the 4G side need a radio licence?

The 4G side communicates over the carrier network, so in most markets the requirement is the SIM and the data plan rather than a separate radio licence — confirm the local rules with your importer. The conventional narrowband module is a licensed radio and follows the usual licensing process in the destination country.

Which PoC platform does the terminal work with?

The terminal is provisioned on mainstream PoC platforms. Tell us which platform your operation uses and we will confirm compatibility with it before the order is placed.

Can we order it with our own brand and packaging?

OEM and ODM support is available. Send the logo files, packaging requirements and target quantity, and our team will confirm what can be customised on this model.
