Overview

The BF-TD910U is a dual-band digital handheld terminal built on digital dual-band dual-watch technology. It is aimed at armed forces, police, fire and emergency units that work in harsh environments and move over large areas, often as individuals rather than as a vehicle crew.

01

Positioning

  • Dual-band digital: dual-band, dual-mode operation on dual-watch technology.
  • Demanding users: armed forces, police, fire and emergency units.
  • Field conditions: harsh environments and large areas, often worked by individuals.
  • Two coverage paths: repeater communication when infrastructure exists, flexible same-frequency working when it does not.
  • One-person operation: designed to be understood and used under pressure without training days.
  • No platform dependency: no SIM card, no data plan and no PoC subscription.
02

Dual-watch operation

  • Two bands, two channels: the terminal holds both at once.
  • Transmit on either: no manual channel switching.
  • Command plus squad: work the squad channel while the command channel stays monitored.
  • One radio: no need to carry two handsets.
  • Cross-zone support: an arriving unit is reached on its own channel and then moved to the local one.
  • Distress rescue: a unit in trouble is reachable regardless of the channel others use.
03

Network and coverage

  • Licensed channels: communication over licensed radio channels, not cellular networks.
  • Repeater mode: coverage extends beyond direct range where repeaters are installed.
  • Same-frequency mode: flexible direct working where infrastructure is absent.
  • Network-wide interoperability: operates within a wider radio network rather than as a standalone handset.
  • Independent fleet: no dependence on cellular coverage or a third-party platform.
  • Local licence: coordinated frequencies arranged by the importer or operating company, plus repeaters beyond direct range.
04

Core functions

  • Display: OLED screen chosen for readability and low consumption.
  • Emergency alarm: one-key alarm without navigating menus.
  • BeiDou messaging: position and short messages are relayed without occupying the voice channel.
  • Encryption: multiple schemes including anti-eavesdropping encryption.
  • Intra-squad collaboration: a small team stays coordinated on its own working channel.
05

Durability and power

  • IP68 protection: dust and water protection for harsh environments.
  • USB charging: charge from a standard USB source.
  • Power cycle: long standby time and short charging time.
06

Ordering and OEM

  • Licence: a local radio licence with coordinated frequencies for the destination country, normally arranged by the importer or operating company.
  • Repeaters: infrastructure where coverage must extend beyond direct range.
  • Channel plan: provide the frequencies and channel structure your unit works on.
  • Duty profile: confirm whether cross-zone and encrypted traffic are required.
  • Configuration: we confirm the terminal configuration before the order is booked.
  • OEM: branding, packaging and quantity are confirmed in the same step.

Frequently asked questions

Click a question to see the answer

Does this terminal need a SIM card or a platform subscription?

No. The BF-TD910U communicates over licensed radio channels, not over cellular networks, so there is no SIM card, no data plan and no PoC platform subscription. What the operating organisation needs instead is a local radio licence with coordinated frequencies, and repeater infrastructure where coverage must extend beyond direct range.

How does it differ from the 4G PoC handhelds in this catalogue?

The difference is where the coverage comes from. A PoC handheld uses the cellular network and a platform, which reaches far and needs no infrastructure but depends on both. The BF-TD910U uses your own licensed radio infrastructure: it works where cellular coverage does not exist, gives the operator full control of the network, and carries no recurring platform cost — in exchange for the licence and repeater investment.

What does dual watch and dual transmit actually do in the field?

The user can keep two channels or bands monitored at the same time and transmit on either. A squad leader can work the squad channel while the command channel stays open, and a unit arriving from another district can be reached on its own channel before being moved to the local one — the basis of cross-zone support.

Can it work with the radio system our unit already operates?

The terminal works on licensed conventional channels through repeaters or in same-frequency mode. Give us the frequency range and the channel and signalling plan you use, and our team will confirm the programming and the configuration before the order is placed.

What is BeiDou relay messaging for?

It provides a reporting path that does not occupy the voice channel. Position and short messages can be relayed through the BeiDou messaging function, so a unit can report status while voice traffic continues — useful when the air must stay clear.

Can we order it with our own branding and packaging?

OEM and ODM support is available. Send the logo files, packaging requirements and target quantity, and our team will confirm what can be customised on this model.
