  • Weather-ready: the most protected radio in this analog group.
  • Best fit: outdoor construction, farms, forestry, marinas, docks and industrial plants.
  • Analog only: no digital voice, encryption or trunking.
  • Site scope: 16 channels for one site; multi-site networking needs another platform.
02

Configurations

  • Band versions: VHF 136–174 MHz or UHF 400–480 MHz.
  • Channels: 16.
  • Power: 10 W RF output.

  • Real use: rain, wash-down areas, dusty yards and accidental drops into water.
  • Seals: protection depends on covers and seals being correctly closed.
  • Battery checks: brief the team to check seals after a battery change.
  • Charging: Type-C via power bank, car charger or wall adapter.

Frequently asked questions

Click a question to see the answer

Which band version should we order?

The NR30S is offered in VHF 136–174 MHz and UHF 400–480 MHz versions with the same power and features. The right one depends on the licence your market issues, so send us the destination country and licence and we confirm the version before the order.

Do we need a licence to operate it?

Business radio channels are licensed to the user or operating company in most countries, with the application normally filed by the local importer or operator. We supply the technical documentation needed for the filing.

How waterproof is IP67 in real use?

IP67 is the published rating: dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion. In practice the protection holds as long as the covers and seals are correctly closed, so check them after battery changes and keep the antenna and accessory ports properly seated.

What talk range does it deliver?

The model is rated for 1–10 km under good conditions. Open ground and clear line of sight give the longest distances; buildings, basements and steel structures shorten coverage quickly. For a large or divided site, plan a repeater for consistent coverage.

What are the NOAA channels for?

The radio includes NOAA weather channels for regions where that service is broadcast, so the crew can listen to weather bulletins on the radio itself. Where the service is not available, the feature simply has nothing to receive.

Can we order spare batteries, accessories and our own branding?

Yes. Spare 2800 mAh packs and the usual accessories can be added to the order, and OEM branding and packaging are supported on volume shipments. Send us your requirements and target quantity and we confirm them with the quotation.
