Overview

The CD-106D is the simplest radio in this analog group, and that is exactly its selling point: a 16-channel handheld with a 1–3 km working range. It is built for shops, restaurants, small warehouses and hotel floor teams that need everyday voice contact without learning a new system.

01

Positioning and use

  • Entry model: the simplest analog handheld in this group.
  • Everyday teams: shops, restaurants, small warehouses and hotel floor teams.
  • Analog only: no digital voice, encryption, trunking or dispatch software.
  • Straightforward: staff need no new system to learn.
02

Configurations

  • Band versions: VHF 136–174 MHz or UHF 400–480 MHz.
  • Channels: 16, enough to separate floors, shifts or work groups on one plan.
  • Body: 106 × 56 × 35 mm and 0.21 kg.
  • Power: 3.7 V DC with a 2000 mAh battery.
03

Core functions

  • One-key copy: channel copy and frequency pairing clones settings radio to radio.
  • Fleet setup: batch programming without a laptop, cable or per-unit software.
  • Scrambler: deters casual scanning but does not encrypt or make a private line.
  • Frequency hopping: reduces interference and casual listening.
  • Voice companding: keeps speech readable in workshops and loading areas.
  • Hidden display: shows channel and status without a front-face screen.
04

Coverage

  • Rated range: 1–3 km under good conditions.
  • Real-world limits: walls, steel racks, basements and dense buildings shorten it.
  • Channel matching: radios need the same frequency and tone codes to hear each other.
  • Copy function: made for bringing new radios onto that plan.
05

Power and protection

  • Charging: Type-C from a power bank, car charger or phone adapter.
  • No cradle: nothing dedicated to carry to site.
  • Standby: ultra-long standby for all-day power-on and occasional calls.
  • Protection: no published IP rating; treat it as an indoor or sheltered-use handset.
06

Ordering and OEM

  • Band choice: confirm the version your market and licence require.
  • Spares: decide how many spare batteries and accessories the team needs.
  • Branding: OEM branding and packaging for volume orders.
  • Sign-off: frequency plan and options confirmed with sales before booking.

Frequently asked questions

Click a question to see the answer

Which frequency band should we order, VHF or UHF?

The CD-106D is offered in VHF 136–174 MHz and UHF 400–480 MHz versions with identical channels and features. Which one may be used depends on the licence your market issues for business radio, so tell us the destination country and the licence you hold and we confirm the matching version before the order.

Do we need a licence to operate it?

In most countries, transmitting on business radio channels requires a licence issued to the user or the operating company. Licensing is handled locally by the importer or the operator; we provide the technical documentation needed for the application.

Can it talk to the analog radios we already use?

Yes. This is a conventional analog handheld, so it works with any analog radio programmed to the same frequency and tone codes, whatever the maker. Set the new radios to your existing channel plan, or use the one-key channel copy function to clone the plan from one radio to another.

How far will it actually reach?

The model is rated for a 1–3 km working range, which assumes good conditions. Inside buildings, basements and steel-framed warehouses the real distance can be much shorter, while open ground with clear line of sight gives the best results. For a larger site, step up to a higher-power model in the range.

Can we order spare batteries and extra accessories?

Yes. Spare battery packs and the usual accessories can be added to the order so the fleet keeps working when a pack runs flat. Tell us what the team needs and we include it in the quotation.
