Overview

The CD-108F is the workhorse of this analog group: a 16-channel handheld with 10 W of RF output and a 1–10 km working range. It adds scan, powerful code breaking and a built-in flashlight for larger, busier sites.

01

Positioning and use

  • Workhorse: 16-channel analog handheld with 10 W output.
  • Best fit: construction, warehouses, factories and larger retail or hospitality sites.
  • Step-up reason: more power than entry models for site-wide coverage on one channel plan.
  • Analog only: no digital voice, encryption or trunking.
02

Configurations

  • Band versions: VHF 136–174 MHz or UHF 400–480 MHz.
  • Channels: 16, suited to one site rather than a multi-site network.
  • Body: 119 × 54 × 37 mm.
  • Power: 7.4 V DC with a 2500 mAh battery.
03

Core functions

  • Scan: sweeps the stored channel list without manual changes.
  • Supervision: a supervisor can keep an ear on several groups.
  • Code breaking: reads tone codes used by nearby analog radios.
  • Faster alignment: a new handset joins an existing fleet without guesswork.
  • Frequency hopping: reduces interference and casual listening.
  • Flashlight: built-in powerful light for night checks.
04

Coverage

  • Rated range: 1–10 km under good conditions.
  • Open ground: 10 W carries further over longer open distances.
  • First walls: the signal passes through the first few walls of a building.
  • Indoors: concrete and steel reduce range considerably.
  • Larger sites: plan repeater coverage beyond a conventional analog link.
05

Power and protection

  • Standby design: ultra-long standby with the 2500 mAh pack.
  • Usage pattern: sits switched on through a long shift for occasional calls.
  • Heavy traffic: transmit time empties the pack; plan a spare.
  • Protection: no published IP rating.
  • Weather: rain and heavy dust need extra protection.
06

Ordering and OEM

  • Band choice: confirm the version your licence requires.
  • Spares: decide spare battery packs and accessories.
  • Branding: OEM branding for volume shipments.
  • Sign-off: all three settled with sales before booking.

Frequently asked questions

Click a question to see the answer

Which band version do we need?

The CD-108F comes in VHF 136–174 MHz and UHF 400–480 MHz versions with the same output power and channel count. Which one you may operate depends on your market licence, so send us the destination country and licence details and we confirm the version.

Do we need a licence?

In most countries business radio channels require a licence held by the user or the operating company, arranged locally by the importer or operator. We provide the technical documentation needed for the application.

Will it work with our existing analog radios?

Yes. Once the CD-108F is programmed to the same frequency and tone codes it talks to any analog handheld, and the code-breaking function helps identify the codes already in use on a site so the new radios can be matched to them.

What range can we expect in practice?

The model is rated 1–10 km under good conditions. Open ground with clear line of sight gives the longest distances; concrete buildings, basements and steel structures reduce it sharply. For coverage across a large or divided site, plan a repeater rather than relying on handheld power alone.

Can we order spare batteries and accessories?

Yes, spare 2500 mAh packs and the usual accessories can be included with the radios. Note that this model publishes no ingress protection rating, so for wet or very dusty sites we recommend pairing it with a protective case or choosing an IP-rated model.

Is OEM branding possible?

OEM branding and packaging are supported on volume orders. Send your logo files, artwork requirements and target quantity, and our team confirms the details in the quotation.
